At an Apple event today, Epic Games unveiled a new game for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Project Sword will be released later this year. DICE has a bit of a surprise for shooter fans today. They've re-released the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with a new Ultimate Edition. The BF:BC2 Ultimate Edition comes with the Onslaught mode DLC as well as the day one multiplayer unlocks originally included in the Limited Edition of the game. Square Enix planned to open up the Final Fantasy XIV beta to the public today. However, last minute tech problems have prevented that from happening. "FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin at 19:00 (PDT) on Aug. 31, 2010, will be postponed due to a confirmation of critical bugs," says a notice on the FFXIV website. "New schedule will be released at a later date." The full version of the game is expected to launch on September 30th.
